Results 2025/26
27th April 2026 – Wimbledon B 0.5 Staines A 5.5
A superb 5.5-0.5 away win in the final match of the season. The result kept Staines A’s Division 2 survival hopes alive while the remaining fixtures were completed.
20th April 2026 – Ealing B 4.5 Staines A 1.5
A difficult penultimate match of the season, with Ealing B winning 4.5-1.5 and leaving Staines with work to do in the final round.
13th April 2026 – Hounslow A 3 Staines A 3
A useful away point in the run-in as Staines A drew 3-3 with local rivals Hounslow A.
26th March 2026 – Staines B 3 Kingston C 1
A 3-1 win in the final B-team match of the season secured second place in Division X.
16th March 2026 – Hounslow C 2 Staines B 2
The return fixture with Hounslow C was much tighter, ending 2-2 with the teams sharing the points.
5th March 2026 – Staines B 3.5 Hounslow C 0.5
Another convincing B-team performance. Staines dropped only half a point in a 3.5-0.5 win over Hounslow C.
26th February 2026 – Staines A 2.5 Richmond & Twickenham B 3.5
A very close match against Richmond & Twickenham B, with Staines just edged out 3.5-2.5.
19th February 2026 – Staines B 4 Surbiton D 0
An excellent night for the B team with a clean 4-0 sweep against Surbiton D.
16th February 2026 – Wimbledon A 5 Staines A 1
A tough away night against a strong Wimbledon A side, who ran out 5-1 winners.
12th February 2026 – Staines A 4 Maidenhead B 2
A strong home performance from the A team brought a 4-2 win over Maidenhead B and two valuable league points.
22nd January 2026 – Staines B 2 Richmond & Twickenham E 2
An evenly matched B-team contest ended 2-2, with Staines and Richmond & Twickenham E sharing the points.
15th January 2026 – Staines A 1 Ealing B 5
A difficult night at home as Ealing B ran out 5-1 winners. Staines were held to a single point in a tough Division 2 fixture.
7th January 2026 – Surbiton B 3 Staines A 3
A hard-fought away draw to begin the new year. Staines shared the points 3-3 with Surbiton B.
15th December 2025 – Kingston C 1.5 Staines B 2.5
The B team are finding their stride. Good wins for Alex and Rishi. In Paul’s game a draw was agreed in a complex position. The half point was all that was needed for the team win.
4th December 2025 – Staines A 1.5 Wimbledon B 4.5
We were missing Derek & Siddarth for this one. Liam scored an excellent draw against a strong player and Alex chalked up a win on his A team debut.
20th November 2025 – Staines A 3.5 Surbiton B 2.5
Up to third in the league with another close victory against a strong Surbiton side.
12th November 2025 – Surbiton D 1.5 Staines B 2.5
The first win of the season for our B team. Good wins for Lee and Rishi plus a solid draw for Alex on his Staines debut secured the win.
6th November 2025 – Staines A 3 Hounslow 3
Another win for Paul and successful Kingside attack from David secured the draw against our local rivals.
4th November 2025 – Richmond & Twickenham B 2.5 Staines A 3.5
Our first win of the season. Another quick win for Siddarth followed by solid draws on the top three board left Paul to bring home the points with a time scramble win.
30th October 2025 – Staines A 2.5 Wimbledon A 3.5
The first home match of the season proved to be a close encounter. Liam scored a quick win with a strong Kingside attack. Derek managed a solid draw on the top board. After defeats for Dom and David it was left to Paul and Ye to fight for the points. Paul had good chances but faltered under time pressure. Ye showed great endgame technique to win with both players running out of time.
20th October 2025 – Maidenhead B 5 Staines A 1
The first match of the season for the A team and a tricky encounter with our top two players unavailable. Despite the score line all the games were close fought and could have gone either way. Solid draws for Paul and Siddarth. Our newer players, Lee & Liam, could not quite convert promising positions. David threw away an easy drawn ending in time pressure.
7th October 2025 – Richmond & Twickenham E 3 Staines B 1
Our first match of the season proved to be a tough encounter with mixed fortunes for our new players. Lee found himself in a unique position with both players down on material after Lee’s opponent knocked the table and pieces were sent to the floor.
